As the global population is ageing at a faster pace. More than 21% of the older population suffers from either a mental or a neurological disorder. The most prevalent mental and neurological disorders among the older population are dementia and depression. Nearly 3.8% of the older population is affected by anxiety disorders. The older population is prone to abandonment, financial, verbal, and psychological abuse.
