Nearly 21 to 16 percent of individuals with acute somatic symptoms are prone to develop chronic somatic illness. In a gynaecological context, chronic pelvic pain is hard to manage. For this illness, GBP 159 million is spent in the UK each year, and USD 882.5 million is spent in the US.
